Taylor Ford (Instructor - Karate)
I commenced my karate training in 2006 at the young age of 7. After dabbling in a few other after-school activities, I asked my parents if I could try martial arts and I was hooked from day one.
After 4 years of training, I was fortunate enough to be granted my Junior Shodan (Junior 1st Degree Black Belt.
It was at this point that I began to get more involved in my class and took on small roles assisting the lower-ranked students with their karate training.
In 2012, I was promoted to Junior Nidan (Junior 2nd Degree Black Belt) and really beagan helping teach the junior karate classes. I was taught the 'how to' of martial arts instruction during this time. I eventually joined the adults class whilst continuing to instruct in the kids' class.
In 2014, I was awarded my Senior Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) and then in 2017 I was awarded my Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt). I continue to help teach the junior Karate classes as well as play a role in the senior class.
