Martial Arts Education Centre

Karate - Japanese Ju Jitsu - Okinawan Kobudo

Achievement through excellence of character

New to the Martial Arts Education Centre for 2007 are kobudo (or weapons) courses.

The weapons course in 2008 will follow the Okinawa Kobudo Doushi Rensei Kai syllabus as I have now become a member of this organisation since my recent trip to Okinawa (click here to read about this).

Students can elect to also become members of this organisation and be graded accordingly with their dan grades being registered in Okinawa and recognised world wide.

Styles taught

Nigel FarrierDr Nigel Farrier, the chief instructor and founder of the Martial Arts Education Centre, has been teaching in the Mandurah area since 1996.

Originally teaching just a Shotokan based form of karate he now has dan grades in ju jitsu and kobudo as well.  Instruction in these has been since 2000 in this region although he was an assistant ju jitsu instructor for a number of years prior to that in Perth.

The Martial Arts Education Centre now boasts many black belts in both karate and ju jitsu with rankings up to Yondan (4th degree black belt).

About us

The most commonly asked question is “How much does it cost?”  Although this is an important factor for you to consider you should also be asking “Will I enjoy it?” or “Is it for me?”

At the Martial Arts Education Centre we pride ourselves on our retention rate and are happy to offer first time students their first TWO lessons in either karate or ju jitsu (or both if you want!) FREE OF CHARGE.

You will then be able to decide whether you wish to continue or not and not risked any financial outlay.  After that we have some excellent offers which we are happy to explain to you.  It is not as expensive as you may think.

Due to to too many automated bots on the web hacking the guest book I have decided to remove it for the moment. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
