Dale began his martial arts career in January 1998 with GKR Karate.  By the end of his first year he was teaching his own classes to approximately 45 students and was the highest ranked instructor in the Mandurah area for GKR at that time.  Dale stayed with GKR for a total of 4.5 years attaining level 3 referee and instructor status with them.  Wanting to expand and refine his knowledge he joined JKA in 2001 and progressed to the level of 1st kyu in 2003.

Still wanting more his search led him to to The Martial Arts Education Centre to train with Nigel Farrier.  There he attained his Shodan.  Dale has recently been graded to Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in November 2009.  Once again his thirst for knowledge has led him to both ju jitsu and kobudo which are also taught at the Martial Arts Education Centre.  Dale is now also a Shodan in ju jitsu and helps out with the junior ju jitsu classes.  He is also ranked Shodan in kobudo and is a level 1 NCAS accredited coach.

Ashley began his martial arts career in February 2002 when he first started training in Ju Jitsu at Port Kennedy with instructors Nigel Farrier and Roy Smith.

When Nigel moved the dojo to Mandurah to incorporate into his karate centre Ashley moved with him and in October 2003 took up karate as well.

He received his Shodan (1st degree black belt) in Karate under the Martial Arts Education Centre in July 2006 and his Shodan in Ju Jitsu in April 2007 and Nidan in December 2009.  Ashley has been graded to Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in November 2009 in karate.  He is also Shodan in kobudo being promoted in December 2008.  Ashley is also a level 2 NCAS accredited coach.

He continues to be an active and valuable part of the dojo and helps instruct in karate, ju jitsu and kobudo
